Chicago has a whole lot more opportunities than Mexico, as evident by the larger number of Mexican immigrants who come here almost daily. It depends on what you want. If family is important to you, stay there. If you want to make a career and have many opportunities, come back to Chicago. You can always go back to Mexico again after you've made some money here, bought some land in mexican and set up a home. Do what makes you happiest.

I wouldn't say that it was a mistake for you to have left. Both places have many benefits and you just have to weigh them out and see which is best for you.

Climate -- Chicago climate Vs Mexico climate 1 pt for Mexico.

People -- Chicago people are headstrong and aggressive, people in Mexico are friendlier and more laid back.

Food -- both have great food!! I wouldn't be able to live without tacos or hot dogs!

Family -- do you have family in Chicago?

not sure what part of Mexico you live in but i know any part can be beautiful and Chicago is beautiful as well, it is very diversified, the seasons change here often, and the people are wonderful.

It is up to you to see what works better for you, no one else can tell you if you made a mistake leaving here or not.

If you are in school, it is important that you finish, but there is nothing wrong with visiting Chicago, revisit the places that you remember, visit friends and relatives that you haven't seen in a while. Some people live part time in two places, depending on your job, this might be an option for you, summer in Chicago, and winter in Mexico. Good luck to you.

Chicago has probably changed since you lived there, maybe you should go for a visit first and check it out. I lived there for 16 years and started hating it and moved to Seattle. I realized it wasn't Chicago I hated, just my life was in a rut. I'm moving back as soon as I can. I can't even find an horchata y burrito con lengua en Seattle! Ay que lastima.

If you are happy where you are, STAY. If you are unhappy, go to chicago. Keep in mind that you may not know what you want. Then again, you may know what you want. Don't rely on a stranger to give you an easy way out. Look inside yourself and you will find your answer.

If you feel that in your heart you should move back to Chicago to live, then go for it.

DEAR "I DON'T KNOW WHO I AM",
THERE HAVE BEEN SOME GOOD RESPONSES TO YOUR POST. THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS TO MAKE A LIST OF ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES FOR BOTH AND THEN YOU, AND YOU ALONE MUST DECIDE.
BUENA SUERTE!
