I know in Madrid that many places have free admission days. For example, the Prado Museum (art) is free on Sundays. Also, many places have student discounts, so make sure and take your student ID.

Your question is a bit abstract.

If you're a college student, go to the Spanish language department with exactly what you want and how long and how much? If there is a time restraint, try for a period when festivals are in swing. Cultural-- and a hell of a good time. I would suggest Andalucia with Seville as a focal point.

The three that most choose is either Madrid, Barcelona, or Seville.

Don't try to cover a lot of geography as you will see too much and only on a superficial level and never get a good taste with a fair and flair amount of
flavor.

Travel to Spain Barcelona as it now has every leisure and sports facility possible since 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. For madrid try my site. Although I´ll be honest and say that the south is cheaper. Valencia has a large US student campus so it may be worth getting in contact with the uni there for ideas.
