People born and raised in California have a bit of an advantage because they don't have to come up with the money and resources to move to California. The staggering cost of living and rent in California stops a lot of people from being able move there and pursue their dreams.

Most celebrities aren't from California.
The majority has moved from someplace
to Hollywood to become famous.
Once they're famous they tend to stay.
Not everyone in California gets famous.
I've lived in California for 23 years
and nobody has heard of me at all.

Not all famous people are from California. They simply move there to get closer to the action and then somehow make their way to fame.

That isn't really true. Hollywood is here and people chase their dreams of being in the movies but as far as native Californians, there are far less of them than you might think.
They literally come from all over the world. May I suggest you make a list of your favorite celebrities, list twenty or thirty then reasearch where they were born.
I bet you will be surprised.

almost no famous people are from cali. thinnk of Miley and her father. There is a lot of actors that dont come from cali. Get a life and stop worrying when you are going to be famous because it is going to be NEVER!

Because people move from their "hole in the wall" town to move to California to become famous.

Probably more people living in the State, more school's that have acting programs(besides NY)..Another thing.. maybe they get famous and then move to Ca.. I've had to music students who did very well for themselves.. One has two Oscars.. Works for G. Lucas.. He went to Berklee in Boston and had to work hard.. That hard work paid off! ps.. my other student has two grammies in music. Both great kids.. (both from Ca) lol. Me too..

well not people from california get famous they just live around the us and they go to california to bocome famous.

they are from all over the country and other places like Canada, and they move there to be close to their jobs, they dont almost all come from there.
