they call them polaks but i just dont understand why .? and say they are stupid

Back in the 70s, Polish jokes were popular. Most of the jokes were silly and pointless- just insert the latest ethnic group in and say the joke. The Archie Bunker character of "All in the Family" made jokes at his son-in-laws expense.
Polish people are not stupid. It's a lame attempt at humor.
If someone is telling Polish jokes, that says more about him/her than the politically incorrect jokes he/she is telling.
These type of jokes could be considered racist as well.
They just aren't funny.
