do female athletes wear compression shorts under there basketball shorts when u play? and why? what are some reasons that i could get some? i know one girl that does and i was wondering if i should? just like the spandex shorts.

As long as they are comfortable you should wear them. But ive seen plenty of girls wering them.

A lot of female athletes were them now a days. They provide better comfort than your typical underwear and also keeps the upper legs warm to prevent injuries specially if you sit in the bench for a long time. Some woman even find it less troublesome than regular underwear just in case your shorts falls off.
