The problem was not so much in killing Julius Caesar, but in not having an "exit" strategy. Because the conspirators had no real plan to re-establish the republic and make sure that the republic government could run a world wide empire, by destroying Caesar, they simply created a power vacuum that lead to decades of civil war and ultimately the creation of an Office of Emperor (even though Octavian, later Augustus was fairly benign) that paved the way for the excesses of people like Nero and Caligula.

Julius Caesar was not yet leader of Rome. In a way, they were kind of voting. So, people who ganged up against him said they were going to serve him where ever and so apparently, his wife had a bad feeling he was going to be killed.Of course, she was right. But anyway he went. The people that ganged up against him killed him. Something that was really sad was that his best friend, since kids, helped kill him. In remembrance of him, people decided to name the month July after him.

Julius Caesar was a politician who was becoming very powerful, but he was not yet a tyrant. He wasn’t all good, but he wasn’t all bad either. Did he deserve to be removed from his position? Did he deserve to be killed? The conspirators believed so. This is an important issue today. How many countries have witnessed the assassinations of rulers? Do people have a right to assassinate their ruler if he or she is corrupt?

Bran 0 has given you more or less an answer. Those who killed JC wanted to prevent him of having what THEY w anted for themselves trough the control of Senat - ABSOLUTE POWER. Their attempt has had for an outcome exactly the opposite of their intentions - Augustus Octavius became a new CAESAR and HAD absolute power in his hands (after the civil war).

To take any life is wrong unless you must to protect innocent people.Julius Caesar was a great Roman leader.the fact is that his contemporaries feared that he was becoming too powerful and that the roman senate would no longer have a say in politics. In truth they were like todays politicians fearing the loss of their perks and livelyhoods. they murdered him to prevent him having absolute power.this does not necessarily mean he was going to kill innocent people. just guilty corrupt politicians... so it was wrong.

It depends on people to think that it's right or wrong;but I personally think that it was wrong to kill him since the fact that he a good ruler and that since he was ruler for a short time those other rulers that practically destroyed Rome came to be. =)

Certain people wanted to kill him since he changed Rome from a Republic (votes, senate, etc.) to an Empire (king, no votes, etc.). I am neutral on his death.
