Why did the Popeye's franchise close it's doors in McAllen, Texas?

The franchise is apparently closed in the Rio Grande Valley. Are they being bought out? Will they be re-opening under a new name?

No, they're closing down non profitable stores. They shut down 44 last year.

Yeah I've noticed they're getting scarce in California too.
