8 of our solar system (since we officially lost Pluto)
AND another 200 known so far for the Milky Way
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/columnist/vergano/2006-07-24-planet-milestone_x.htm
If you really need to name them all check the list (for 182 of them)
http://exoplanets.org/planets.shtml
Astronomers are predicting planets through a Sun's wobble, due to the gravitational forces of the planet. For that reason only larger planets in the solar systems are being found.
The chart does not indicate solar systems (or galaxy), but I imagine all of the systems listed are in the milky way as any stars in the Milky Way are closest to us, and the easiest to study..

Most of the planets in the Milky Way have not yet been discovered so they do not have names. The names of the planets in our Solar System are:Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

****There are TEN planets in this solar system....******
1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
5. Jupiter
6. Saturn
7. Neptune (Neptune and Uranus sometimes change order - their orbits cross each other so the one closest to the sun varies over the years)
8. Uranus
9. Pluto (Pluto kept its planetary status according to the last IAU vote.)
In addition to the above-named nine planets, there was a tenth planet discovered in 2005 that has earned a name from the IAU.
*****Tenth planet is: Eris.*****
It was named Xena by its discoverer (in honor of the TV show) but was given a new name by the International Astronomical Union.
Read about it here:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/09/060914155305.htm
Also, there are suspected planets in other solar systems, usually detected astronomically by "orbital wobble" where a star has a wobble to it because of the gravity exerted on it by planets orbiting.

Steve from Blues Clues taught me this one for our Solar System
The Sun is a hot star
Mercury is hot too
Venus is the brightest planet
Earth is home to me and you
Mars is the red one
Jupiter's most wide
Saturn's got those icey rings
And Uranus spins on its side
Neptune's really windy
And Pluto's really small
You wanted to name the planets
And now you've named them all
Hope this helps
