No, every one has their own favorite team. Not everyone is goin to pull for the same team. So why make a fuss over someone wearing a different team than the one you like. I wouldnt want anyone making fun of my team. So i am not goin to make fun of someone elses team.

Go Canes!

Yes, I would like an assault conviction on my criminal record for no apparent reason. Of course I wouldn't do that. I'm a Leafs fan, and I've been to Ottawa bars on road trips (love the city and the people since both are so much better than Toronto, but I hate the team). The most crap I've been dealt with was some dude haggling me over my Leafs cap, in which I responded with "GET A GOALIE!!" (The Sens really don't have a goalie to take them to the Cup.) We went back and forth for a little bit in good humour, and, in the end, the guy ended up buying me a beer and we started talking hockey. Or was he hitting on me...? I don't know, I was too drunk to notice...

Also, this is HOCKEY, not SOCCER where you would have a possible riot over something this trivial.

Go Leafs.

That's ridiculous. We're not like those idiot baseball fans that beat the sh!t out of each other for wearing Red Sox gear in NYC or Yankees gear in Boston! Besides, where I'm from, that would be a huge brawl pretty much every time our team played the Leafs; since it's Buffalo, when the two teams play the fan split is about 50/50.

No, if you buy a ticket, you can cheer for whoever you like. Fans
of the visiting team deserve to be treated with as much respect
as fans of the home team. Attacking someone because they
support a team you dislike or hate is plain dumb, and it could
land you in jail. People who do that to other fans aren't true sports
fans, but morons who need to be smacked upside the head by
other fans, security personnel, or the police for their stupidity.

No, the only fighting allowed is on the ice.

On the other hand if they started it, I wouldn't hesitate to help out....

Actually, not really. It's just a stupid thing to fight over. I would tell them that they really need a new shirt (or hat, or jersey as the case may be) but it's all in good fun.

A group of my friends from work went to a Blackhawk's game with Wings jerseys on.....All were verbally abused, and 4 out of six were hit……one was sent to the hospital withy a broken nose. BTW these men were 40 + and engineers from Detroit. Not one a fighter or aggressive.

i live near buffalo and we got to toronto a few times a year and generally if we see a person wearing leafs stuff we make comments to them, not obnoxious but if the sabres have a better record, have recently beat them we make sure they get some barbs from us,same as we get from them when we wear sabres stuff...we've had a few leafs fans say stuff back to us and one guy did turn around and we thought he was gonna smack us but it's all in good fun

Me, no. I have seen it all too often in Madison Square Garden and whatever Boston is calling their arena now. The two worst fans in the NHL. Boston are the worst.

No I would not attack someone for wearing an opposing hat. Sports are about rooting for your team not putting down someone else's team.

I live downtown Toronto and go to Leaf games wearing a Senators jersey. Everyone is pretty fun about the whole thing. I think that it says alot about T.O.
