It is like if they accidentally touch one while they were digging in your purse, they scream and overreact; even though it is an unused tampon/pad and it is in its wrapper! Why do men overreact when it comes to women and their menstrual cycle? Not ALL women are devils or "PMS" when they are on their period.

well at CURCH camp, the boys were going to turn off our water to our cabin, and when they came up, we threw OPEN pads and tampons and the pads got stuck on their heads, and they were running around our camp w/ pads stuck in there hair, not to mention that this was church camp!
the worst part was that all of our parents were there!

That kind of over reaction I can't defend. Some don't want to be seen with anything extremely feminine and so won't even hold your purse for fear of being teased or seen as weak.

You are a mystery to men and people react differently when they see something they don't think they are supposed to.

It must not be because of being grossed out, because you can ask one to fish your ring out of the toilet if it falls there and they will do that even if it is quite messy.

Men can be merciless to each other. If a man is holding a tampon he may hear about it for years in jokes at his expense.

Unused tampons/pads don't smell - geez, where do some of you come from? Guys just get the heebie-jeebies over feminine items and issues.....have you ever tried sending a man to the drug store for female products? The car won't start, their hair hurts, they can't remember where the drug store is.....they're cowards if they're over 21 and can't deal. Imagine what would happen if they found a pregnancy test in your purse! LOL

It's because it is associated with something that is private and personal for ladies....sort of when someone has hemroids...and had some hemroid cream in their bag....if you reached in and pulled that out...there would just be something weird about holding something of a personal nature such as that...you naturally would want to put it back in...quickly!....

Because the thought of a woman bleeding for 7 days without dying really scares the crap out of them!

No, its not because of PMS, its because they are big whimps, afraid of a little blood, as well as anything that reminds them of it, even though they dont want to admit it because they are so "macho".

They don't give a rats. It's because they think you are embarrassed that they react. It's just manners in a warped sort of way.

It's just something we'd rather not think about or be reminded of. It's a woman's personal hygiene issue that should be kept that way...personal.
