Wilma was a track star from Louisville that grew up with Cassius Clay (aka Mohammed Ali)....won several gold medals in the 60's.....Ederle was a swimmer.....first woman to swim the English Channel.......Babe was probably the greatest golfer ever to include men.....really great athelete all around...it seems to me that she won some Olympic Gold Medal as well......Jesse Owens another Olympic Track Star that upset Hitler by dominating the "white" man in the Berlin Olympics.......Thorpe was one of the greatest athletes....played football..track and even basketball........hope this helps some!!
