no. I live in a part of NC where everytime the season changes, everyone's houses become practically infested with them (its not uncommon for people here to have to vacuuming their celings to get rid of them due to their large numbers)...so trust me...if they could bite...id probably have died already...

Yes ladybugs do bite .I have personally been bitten and I'm here to tell you it hurts. They have quite a painful bite. Certain species are more apt to bite than others though. There is a japanese variety of ladybugs that have been an epidemic in this area of the country the last couple of years and they are a lot more likely to bite . They have a different color and spot variation than the domestic species.

YES!

My lazy ex-husband would not trim our 9' laurel hedge which ran 125' length of the property, so I had to because he was cheap, too!

I discovered in having to deal with an extraordinary amount of them that lady bugs can give nasty bites which created big ugly welts.

Then there was the road film dirt and big fat green squishy caterpillar thingies to deal with too!

Thanks for the memories.

YES they can bite.

Did not know they are poisonous? Willl check into the last post?!
