I have a 95 Chevy Monte Carlo with 115 thousand miles. Its in pretty good shape and runs well. My passenger side engine fan wont spin. I just had it replaced and even replaced the relay/ fuse. It still wont run even when the driver side fan is running. What could be the problem. I just had the radiator replaced a few months ago too. Thanks!

Another problem, everytime I drive my car the temperature gage jumps past the half way mark, no matter how long i let it warm up? It used to level out at the half way mark but now stays above it? When i stop at a light it climbs back up but goes back down. I thought it was because of the fan, does it sound like I have a cracked head gasket. What could it be?

there are to fans on these, one is to cool the engine, and the other is for the a./c it will only run when the a/c is on and there compressor needs cooled down, if you dont have a/c wire the hot wire to ignition or by pass it with a toggle switch from the battery and insdtall under your dash ive done it many times

Go with a wiring problem first. To a quick check, take the power lead and hook to battery positive and then either ground the casing or find the negative lead. If the fan rotates, not the problem. It is not getting the signal from the sending unit.....which either could mean a bad wire or there is more than 1 sending unit and that is a bad one.

GM uses two fan one is a high temp or high speed fan .The other is the low temp or low speed fan. One come on at 210 the other at 230 witch is dam near overheating. I'm thinking this maybe your trouble. And if you say it used to coming on with the ac well in the winter it won't as the temp is to cold. I'm not sure on your model which is witch fan but just thought this info may help. Good luck

If you have power at the unit then you have a defective part. If not you need to trace back and find out where the power stops.
