I travel all the time with Jet Blue airlines and I received a notice to get the credit card. I'm 22 and I think it would be a good idea to build my credit. But at the same time I am not trying to put myself in debt later on. So what are the pros and cons of having this card? Is it worth getting?

Not a good idea to get airline credit cards. The interest rates are generally much higher than other cards.

Miles are not worth what they used to be.

Select a credit card with the lowest interest rate.

Good Luck!

Get it for the credit card with a low apr first and foremost. The bonus stuff is just an addon, find one that you use everyday like a gas station bonus or a grocery bonus.

Have you ever been in situations where you needed a credit card. Like renting a car, getting a hotel room, etc. I wouldn't say a credit card is a neccessity but there are times in life where having a credit card will be a great help. As long as you understand that is it credit, not money you actually have then you'll be okay.

Any credit card you get will have some kind of incentive program. It just depends on what you want to get. Gas cards give you free gas, airline cards give you miles. My card (Citi) gives me thank you points that I can use for anything I want.

Credit card pros - you establish credit (if you pay your bills on time!!!)
You need a credit card for a lot of purchases on the internet, video renting, any kind of reservation, etc.
If you're smart you can get a fairly low interest card, where if you pay the bill off every month, you won't accumulate interest.

Credit card cons - temtation (well, I can't really afford it but I have a credit card!)
High interest rates (if you're not careful)
Theft and identity fraud.

You should have a credit card unless you are a simple living type of person. Just PLEASE be responsible.

A great airline that already has great prices. This Jet Blue Credit Card is a no brainer. In my opinion, it is better than a Jet Blue coupon code, Jet Blue contest, or Jet Blue discount coupon simply because it lasts longer. If you already like Jet Blue (how could you not), this card will essentially get you Jet Blue air miles (or similar to). You can go to the Jet Blue official site to learn more about them. Below, look at the benefits of this card that I retrieved on the net.

* Earn one Award Dollar for virtually every dollar you spend

* 200 Award Dollars earn you one TrueBlue point, 100 TrueBlue points get you a round-trip flight anywhere JetBlue goes
* Pay your bill in full or carry a balance
* Earn double Award Dollars on JetBlue flight purchases
