i like an 8th grader, but im in 6th grade??

Question

what should i do, he said he would ask me out, but im too young for him...???

i know it sounds wierd, and he said he would date me it just.... im too young for him, he told me "maybey when your a freshman"

Well, I'm an eighth grader myself, and there's just a lot of differences between sixth graders and eighth graders. Not to degrade you in any way, but that's just the way life is. Maybe it's just that I'm a girl and he's a boy, but I wouldn't consider going out with a sixth grader right now. Mainly because of peer pressure and how it would seem to everybody else in my grade.

There was an episode on 'Hannah Montana' about it where Miley goes out with an eleven year old and she gets teased at school for it. You might be older or younger than eleven, depending on your birthday, but sometimes he might be the right guy but the timing is just wrong.

It's easy for a sixth grader to say that they like an eighth grader, I know from my own experience, but it's harder the other way around. When you're in High School it will be different, though. I say that you take the Ginny Weasley route and try to go out with another guy if he's not going to go out with you. There's nothing wrong with you, but think of it this way: would you ever go out with a boy in the fourth grade? If so, more power to you! But some people just aren't as mentally strong as that.

Sometimes it bad to date those kinds of guys because they an manipulate you into doing something you really don't want to do. if he cares that much about age than he doesn't care about you genuinely. like the song says age aint nothing but a number he probualy doesnt want his friends to know that he's with a 6th i'm in 8th grade and if i was a guy i dont think that would probualy bother. age shouldnt matter if you liike someone but girls are more open minded so i guess a guy would say different. the person is what should matter. you'll find someone out there for you good luck :)

It would be good to just stay friends at this point. You really don't need to get worried about boys at this age. But whatever you do, don't wait for him until you are a freshman. You will miss out on a lot, and even if you aren't dating by then, you may meet someone you like better. Good luck.

Sorry hun but I don't know alot of 8th graders that would go out with a sixth grader. I am an eight grader and I wouldn't go out with some one 2 years younger than me unless we were in high school because than it is not as bad! Trust me I bet there is a bunch more guys out there for you who are youre age! Mabey you should start askin guys out that are youre age instead of them waiting to ask you out! Good luck ♥

He doesn't want to look bad. If he likes you like i think he likes you, he just wants to wait until the age gap doesnt seem so wide (even though it never changes). Just like the ages 5 and 10, when you say it like that, it seems so far apart, but think up a few years, like 25 and 30, see how much more innocent that sounds. I don't know why, but that's just the way life is.

nicely tbh i imagine that you'll be able to opt for it yet even as i become in eighth grade alot of the adult men who had youthful girlfriends cheated. basically be sure you dont get damage and dont let him take great factor about you. and continuously have a backup guy. in case you pick to in consumer-friendly words supply it your all then try joking round with him then try getting ti comprehend him and smile yet no longer too not hassle-free that mite freak him out. basically be your self and also you may be fantastic. goodluck :)

well when i was in 8th grade i liked a 6th grader and now im in 9th grade and i like an 11th grader. its not that your too young for him its just you guys are both too young to date, middle schoolers dont need gfs and bfs

its not that ur too young for him but at that age boys want to experiment with girls and more than likely he just thinks your cute and just in to you for the moment. date him if you want just be careful. the odds are that hell just hurt you. talk it over with an adult that knows you better. your mom, sister, cousin, aunt, neighbor, or even teacher. they'll be honest with you on whether or not to date him.
