Only sales matter, if they can't understand your problem they do not have to pay to fix your problem. If your dell is broken or needs repair while it is under waranty try calling them, give up, call localized computer repair, explain computer is under waranty and give them desired computer # and waranty #, they will fix your problem free of charge and send the bill to Dell.

It's because due to economic research in sales and consumer development- findings show that the average american will more than likely buy from an English speaking person rather than a person with an accent or whose primary language isn't English. Furthermore, the reason non-English speaking people hold most of the Technology jobs for tech support is because Dell has found cheaper labor than us greedy Americans over seas like in India where the labor is cheaper and where the laws of India allow Dell to get away with less worker or labor benefits.

There are plenty of English speaking people at Dell support too. It's just random chance... if you have a virus or software issue too you can try calling 1-888-236-3355 to the fee based software support experts. They almost always seem to be english (or Canadian).

And I think Dell is investing more now to fix that rift if I remember some news article I saw a few months ago.

But you are right, it does seem frustrating at times.

Because Dell thinks that sales people are their gold mine.

If you are in Australia and need support with your Dell product, try this toll free number: 1800 816 818. Majority of people at this number speak english a lot better that the last person you spoke with. :)
