Benny took $50, leaving $200 - $50 = $150, so he got $50/$200 = 0.25 = 25%.

Kenny took 60% of $150, or .6 x $150 = $90, so he got $90/$200 = 0.45 = 45%.

Denny got the rest, or $150 - $90 = $60, so he got $60/$200 = 0.3 = 30%

25% + 45% + 30% = 100%, so the percentages work out.

First we need to work out the amount each person got. Using algebra, let B = amount Benny received, K = amount Kenny receieved and D = amount Denny received.

We know that
B + K + D = $200
B = $50
Therefore
K + D = $150
K = 150 * 0.6
K = $90

D = 200 - K - B
D = 200 - 90 - 50
D = $60

We can now convert each as a percentage

Benny's percentage = (50/200)*100% = 25%
Kenny's percentage = (90/200)*100% = 45%
Denny's percentage = (60/200)*100% = 30%

Double check that all adds up to 100%, and they do in this case, so the numbers should be correct.

out of $200, Benny gets $50 or 25%
that leaves $150 for Kenny & Denny.
Kenney gets 60% of what is left or .6*150=$90 which is 45% of the total

Denny gets the remaining $60 or 30% of the total

Benny: $50; 25%
Kenny: $90; 45%
Denny: $60; 30%

Well let's start with how much they each get:

Benny gets $50. 50/200 = 25%

Kenny gets 0.6 x $150 = $90. 90/200 = 45%

That leaves Denny getting $200 - $140 = $60 60/200 = 30%

200 - 50 is 150

60% of 150 = 90

So since 90 + 50 is 140, Denny got $60 or 30% of 200
Benny got $50 or 25%
Kenny got 90 or 45%

B = 50
K = 60%(200-50) = 90
D = 60 = 200 - 50 - 90

B = 50/200 = 25%
K = 90/200 = 45%
D= 60/200 = 30%
