All the tea tips are great. But if you are a singer and serious about your voice...you shouldn't be stressing it while you are and just after you are sick. You can do permanent damage. Drink your tea...rest your voice...give it a little time...then ease back into it with light voice exercises. You'll be good as new in no time!

Research herbal teas. When I was in a musical everyone got sick and couldn't sing. Sipping just hot (but not too hot) lemon water with some honey really helps.

Drink some green tea with honey, or a tall glass of water until you have gotten completely better. Also try taking some multivitamins to get strength back.

1st stop singing (you may strain your already strained vocal chords), drink tea with lemon (kills the infection) and suck on Riccola "Original" cough drops, make sure they are the originals. You should be good to go in 4-7 days.
