Why do people talk about Africa as if it s a jungle, a place of no good and that Africans live on trees to the extent that they get shocked when an African does something extraordinary when they are not aware of what Africa REALLY is.

I do not hear about Africa being a jungle, South America yes a jungle. Africa has a lot more dried out (it appears in photos) mud holes. A hell of a lot of poverty and disease. There are many people trying to help the people of Africa, by making the world aware of the problems there. Back up!!

I've never heard anyone talk like that. who do you hang out with? I know some missionaries who live in Africa & do go into the jungles, trying to reach people for Christ. I think you are just trying to stir up trouble, but why?

Yeah ! and people also talk about Africa as if it was one big country.

Are they really talking about all the people that live in the nations of

Morocco, Libya, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Chad, Senegal , Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Botswana, etc, etc.

the politicians are so patronising as well.

FYI, you'd be proud to know that i've never once thought of Africa as a giant jungle.

Anyone with even half a brain knows its more of a smelly, disease-ridden hell-hole.

that's because they r f*** ignorant pp. if you ask them, they can only tell u the color of people but nothing else. I'm not just talking about white pp here/ all general. what can they say other then what they are reading on newspaper and seen on TV.

no body, no body know the real Africa other then its own people (who live in there!)

seeing is believe/ what you hear or read isn't always true!

Because depresing things hit the MEDIA. it's what we are interested in for some strange reason.
Not the good the great or exiting... but all the bad things that make us feel that were better than that so that means I'm good.
