Is it the same thing? Or was the wording changed to build new support over this farce?

The entire global warming/greenhous effect is a liberal scam, just as the "global cooling" theory that was a hit in the 60s and 70s was. We can only hope that the world will not build support for it, for truly, it is a farce.

I think "greenhouse effect" was dropped because it sounded a little too pleasant and didn't adequately convey the idea of a global dessert (not greenhouse) that we might be living in if we fail to curb co2 emissions. "Global warming" has also been dropped in favor of "Climate change" because, while average global temperatures are rising, some found the term "global warming" confusing when some local temperatures were reaching record lows. Since almost all scientists not owned by oil companies agree that it's a major concern and largely due to human activity, I wouldn't call it a farce.

The term "global warming" doesn't imply a cause and is therefore more accurate and less controversial than "green house effect."

Kind of ironic considering the term "green house gases" is still going strong. This term will also probably receive a makeover and a little positive spin before this debate has run its course.

Stay tuned.......

the grant money for green house effect ran out so they had to make a name change for clerical purposes..

My question is what happened to the global cooling in the 1970s...that was all the rage back then...

It is called Global warming now because Al Gore needed something to cover up the fact that he is an overweight, bill Clinton wannabe!!

Even Bush has admitted global warming (caused by the greenhouse effect) is real and is caused by humans.

Try to keep up with your party's talking points. It has largely stopped denying science.

Here's a little reading for you, if you are indeed "curious."
