Seriously, why do the Jewish hold onto their money so tightly?

I've had Jewish people flat out tell me they like their money alot, they are cheap, ect...why do the Jewish value money so much?? What is it? Im very curious??

And im sorry if i offend anyone.

I mean, i know many of them are rich, but why do they insist on saving every last penny, and how did they get that stereo type of being cheap?

i'm sure that it has to do with the fact that the jews have been a repressed people all throughout history and having more money = more power and a better life.

i wouldn't go so far as saying they are cheep.

it's also the reason for why they as a group are rich. because they are savers and are money savvy and do not squander it recklessly since they worked for it so hard? just my guess

I'm not Jewish, but I've had many Jewish friends. That's just not so! They are no different than other races.. Jews like any other race want the best for their families.. They believe in good education and strive to do well just like the rest of us.. I grew up in NJ and we had some jewish friends that were not well off and actually borrowed money from my father to make ends meet.. They were very nice people too..

my boss is jewish and is very um... frugal. I hate to be sterotypical, but apparently that's how they become so rich, they pinch every penny and I guess how they get to live the good life. who knows. if you find out tell me.

I personally believe that this is just a "stereotype" of sorts. This is something that society has "created" and programmed into societies' personal belief systems of sorts.

I am sure I can think of people (regardless) of their faith that may posses the same traits as you describe.
