Just got a PS2. I like the GTA games. What else can you recommend?

METAL GEAR SOLID (sort of advanced tho)
all these games besides madden are cheap now too :P

1) GTA: San Andreas of cource if you didnt get that already you can buy all three for 30 bucks at a game store in a combo pack.
2) Jak and Daxter series are all good platformers and use the colors available on a standard tv really well. (Their good looking games with pretty good play control)
3) Resident Evil 4 is fantastic, one of my favorite games to play over and over.
4) If you like flying games, Ace Combat 4, 5, and Zero. "5" was my favorite if you just want to buy one.
5) James Bond Everything or Nothing. Good 3rd person shooter/espianage.
6) Gran Turismo 4. Cheap and really fun.
7) Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater is the best stealth/3rd person tactical game you can buy for the PS2.

Gran Turismo 4 is awesome if you like racing games...its more of a sim not really arcade style. Any Tekken game is great. I would suggest going to a game store like gamestop that has used games. You can pick up 4-5 older games easily for the price of a new one.

Get Driver 3 it's like GTA but smaller citys not to good looking but i liked it and get shadow of the colossus it's vary good looking both games up on the sources i have below the 1st on is Driver 3 and the 2nd one is shadow of the colossus.

a game very similar to gta is scareface the game its like gta but the place is alot bigger
its an open world crime game
