let's make new york city its own gay state. the streets would be clean and paved to perfection, windows would never get dirty and every service would be available. no bad haircuts, no perms, no more fat tourists. we'll call it the state of UGA: united gay alliance. power to the fabulous!

There is already and entire major city. Isnt that good enough? Although here are some great names for you, Cherlaska, Fabulasota, Twinkafornia, Top Dakota, Bottom Dakota, Lesberado, Dyksylvania.

Segregation is the opposite of what gay people have been working on for years and years.
They have pushed and pushed for sexual preference to be regarded with no more concern than what we would someone's hair color.
Separation would build mistrust, paranoia, fear, on both sides.

Not at all. I am human first and then gay. Just because some people hate us it doeant mean that we have to exclude our selves from society. On the contrary you are feeding bigots with ideas now, and I am sure many of them will tell you "YES" so they can get rid of us.

heck no...why? what decade (or century) do you think this is? segregation doesn't help anything. don't give the bigots any ideas....they'd love to get rid of us. but they are the ones who need their own state. they'd end up turning on each other because the people they hate won't be around...and then they'd self-destruct. we don't need their negative energy....

I think that people should stop judging other people and get to know them for who they are and not what they do,say,what color they are, ect.... so I guess my answer is no I dont think they should have their own state.
