I have a BMW R1200C. Should I go through the dealer? I still have a waranty for a few more years.
it's in ok condition. I rode it A LOT!

sell right after the beginning of the riding season on eBay. take lots of pictures of the bike after it has been washed and cleaned. you will get a ton of money for it.

I would say March/April. Even though it may not be riding weather yet, people are getting cabin/spring fever. Still having the bike under warranty is a good selling point. Make sure you state that in your ad. I would not go through the dealer. You will get a lot less money and most dealers are only interesting in bikes in pristine condition.
I think ebay is a good way to go. Make sure you state that it is for local pickup only so you don't have to deal with shipping and some kind of mystery payment.

Since the last snow is usually in March, the roads start to clear in April. To just sell it, start advertising in April. If you are more interested in a return on your money, hold it a little longer. Say late May, or early June. This is when most riders are on the road, and all of us without bikes are jealous. I haven't been without one in years, but I remember the feeling. And I was looking in March. Bought a used Honda in April. And a new Harley in July (but that's another story).

How long have you lived in New York? If it's been any length of time, then you KNOW what the best time is.
In your neck of the woods, the seasons starts in mid-March. Place your ad in the usual places in the beginning of March to get the word out.
If you are desperate to sell, then use the dealership.
By the way, those are nice scoots. Ever done the 'Homecoming' in the Finger Lakes?

I know nothing about bikes but it seems to me that a good timeto sell would be early or late spring, ya know right before the weather gets nicer, I assume people enjoy motorcycles more in the summer and fall anyway just my 2cents worth.

Sell it around Memorial Day. That's usually when Summer ambition is getting into full swing and it should result in a favorable return.
