i just got my new internet installed, and that day my speakers stoped working. i even put my heaad phones in there. please tell me do get new ones or is there a really easy solution that im to dumb to figure out?

my computer did something similar to that, lol and i felt really dumb when i found out what the problem was.

for some reason, my volume was on mute! i dont know how it get that way, but it did!

that might be your problem -- go to volume control (if you dont want to look through all your files for it, go to start, then search and then search for volume control) and make sure all the different volumes are turned up and not on mute.

also, windows media player and winamp can effect your general volume. if you have any of those, check them, to make sure the volume tab is turned up. good luck! :)

first run simple diagnostic tests onm your sound card by going to control panel, the sound section and then "sounds and audio devices." make sure that everything is plugged in correctly and your chord in the back is plugged into a green colored jack. when you were installing your internet, I think you might have loosened the sound cable.
