1) The check engine light can be reset by disconnecting the battery for a number of minutes (20 or so).

2) Resetting the check engine light doesn't get rid of the problem that caused it to go on to begin with. If you already fixed it, that's one thing, but otherwise you'll need to solve the base problem.

3) The battery light usually means the alternator isn't charging the battery, and your car will likely die on the side of the road at the least convenient time. It's possible your battery is shot, but more likely your alternator is. Get it to a shop and get it fixed. You don't want to drive it in either case.

pull the batt cable (red) and leave it off for 15-20 min the car will reset itself. But I dont know if you have fixed the problem but the light is on for a reason alot of people just keep reseting the light instead of fixing the problem
