I think it is a collection of humurous responses from children. It is probably close to 50 or 60 years old.

What you are undoubtedly thinking of is the "Pocket Book of Boners". This book is most famous because it was illustrated by Dr Seuss. It was, however, published by Pocket Books in 1931 and has been out of print for years.

Fortunately you can still get it, if not quite in the original form. When it was purchased by another company, they didn't want 'Pocket' in the title obviously, and they had become a bit uncomfortable with the word 'boners' by then too. Its current title is "Herrings Go About the Sea In Shawls... (And Other Classic Howlers From Classrooms And Examination Papers)". You can follow the link to the Amazon listing and order yourself a new copy if you like.

Enjoy!
