I am taking the Birth Control pill but my period falls on weekends and I want it to fall during the week. I could go off the pill and wait until my period starts on a day that would make it fall on weekends but that could take several months. Is there a way I can adjust my schedule while still taking the pill?

Yes. I changed mine so that my period starts on Sunday instead of Friday.

This is how I changed mine:

Count your pills and the day you want your period to start to get the idea what pills you should be on to get your period to start on that day. Then start taking the pills to adjust your schedule. If the count means skipping your period row of pills and starting the new pack, do so.

Note that when you do this, you will have breakthrough bleeding through the next pack while your body adjusts to the new schedule and you'll get your period on the new days. After that, your body will have periods on your new schedule without breakthrough bleeding (usually).

Are you on a monophasic pill? If you are then it's easy. Just skip the next lot of sugar pills and start the next pack right away. You'll skip this period (but that's safe). Keep taking them until close to the end of the next pack. Take the first sugar pill on the Saturday of the week you would nomally get your period, and you should get your period on the Monday or Tuesday. Take all the sugar pills like normal and then start the next pack on the Saturday. You will have stopped bleeding by then. Throw out the spare pills, or keep them for when you can't get to the pharmacy to renew your prescription on time.

Or the next time you are taking sugar pills, just start a new pack of active pills on the Saturday, and throw away the spare sugar pills. You'll be set for next time. Don't start the placebos early, you want the full dose of active pills, so just shorten the time you are off the active pills.

Yes, you don't really need to have a period at all. If you just take the active pills continuously and not take the 7 placebos, you won't have a period. It is not a real one anyway.

Take the week of placebos a few days early. This will induce your period a few days earlier and then take the next month of pills as normal and it should keep your new schedule.
