I am planning my daughters 1st birthday party at a local park. My husband and I both have HUGE families. How do I entertain our guest at a park? What are some ideas for party favors for a large group of people?

sports is always fun for all ages. You can get frisbees and see who can throw it furthest or has the best accuracy, etc, cheap plastic golf clubs, play 'keep away' with a ball. You can do a scavenger hunt for the kids and get the adults involved in hiding treasures and/or clues. Of course, there should be food. Lots and lots of food! Good luck and I hope you have a blast!

Since it's a first birthday it will be mostly for your family, your daughter won't remember and most party activities will be beyond her. If you want to keep your guests happy make sure to have activities for the kids and the adults. Surprisingly, many childrens party games can be fun for adults. I suggest disposable cameras as party favors, they will help everyone remember this special day and they can share the particularly good pictures with you.
