No, it was a slow and painful death. Eating noodles signficantly increases the chance of dying from a dry sense of humor. The more noodles you eat, the less amusing other people tend to find you.

Well, when you are married a long time it is said that couples become more like each other and begin to look alike. It is also true that you are what you eat as the saying goes so the chances are that, yes, he did die instantly.

Well, if he died at a high altitude it probably took longer than 3-7 minutes cause it takes longer to boil water there.
