Incidentally, if you're going to say something ridiculous like "they did", would you mind saying *what* you are referring to and/or providing some evidence, or my next question will be:
Why do women think we accept their word, when they keep lying?

Cassius, yours is the best point so far, but I still cannot concede.
Hildegard von Bingen seems exceptional for a woman, however she was around in 1150 and Hippocrates in 460. In fact:
http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/med/hildegarde.html
States she derived many of her ideas from the Greeks, so...
Frankly almost all women should be medicinal experts by now. I am having fun listening to all these claims of witchcraft and such though.

Victoria: Dear lord. No wonder they never invented it. The point is they were allowed free reign in their education and experience in cooking over thousands of years.

Just wanted to let the others know not to waste their time taking you seriously. Your "questions" are the product of a disturbed mind; the mind of an obcessive CRANK and W-A-N-K .
Confused yet again? Poor dearie. Knowing that you are linguistically challenged, I've included a dictionary definition for you:
http://www.webster-dictionary.net/defini...
Definition of Crank
Pronunciation: krăņk
4.A twist or turn of the mind; caprice; whim; crotchet; also, a fit of temper or passion.
Violent of temper; subject to sudden cranks.
5.A person full of crotchets; one given to fantastic or impracticable projects; one whose judgment is perverted in respect to a particular matter.
6.A sick person; an invalid.
Thou art a counterfeit crank, a cheater.
Why do I call you a crank? Because you are "one whose judgment is perverted in respect to a particular matter." The proof is in the insane, offensive "questions" you post. As I have pointed out repeatedly, your sources are either mental midgets like you (your fellow cranks) or, when it's to your advantage, you simply LIE about what the actual "evidence" has to say on a given matter. That bit makes you a W-A-N-K.
Just for the record, here are your lunatic "questions" thus far:
I'm confused! Why would an all girl's school sign a petition to end women's suffrage?!?

Actually women were pioneers on the medical field, when it comes to Europe or the western world in general. Men were just pioneers of modern medicine around the 1800-1900, at least in Europe. I dont know about eastern countries, which were in general more advanced than Europe at that time. Look up Hildegard von Bingen.

First of all women have not been doing the cooking for thousands of years, nor was it solely a man who "invented" the medicinal arts. Plenty of women were burned at the stake, accused of witchcraft when they tried to help people in their villages with herbs. Men are the reason that we have our current health system that is in shambles and that rejects natural remedies. Women use to know more about their bodies, when they relied upon the older women in their families. After men took control, and burned herbalists as witches, women lost the knowledge. You can blame alot of this on the churches at the time as well.

If you're referring the achievements of people like Hippocrates, the reason is that in Classical Greek society women were not permitted to be educated. In fact, they weren't even considered citizens, and weren't permitted to leave their homes except on special occasions.
How can one expect a woman to make significant achievements under such oppressive circumstances?

Why is cooking associated with medicinal arts?
Why are you saying men invented it? Who in particular invented medicine? No-body know who did and didnt invent stuff.
I have read some very insightful books of cavepeople, and they seemed to have some sorts of primitive medicines. The indicators point to the women and men both doing this.
Please research a bit more before you open your mouth

Because "back in the day" women we nothing more than chattle to a man. We could be bought, sold and traded just like any farm animal. OH and GOD FORDID we were barren because we could be divorced without so much as an utterance from out lips, we could even be killed.
The list goes on and on and on and on. But thank the heavens above for women like Madame Marie Curie.

Your answer is this like u said women have been cookin for 1000s and men doing sh*t. so therefore women have been to0 busy sorting out everything in the household(which they have been conditioned to do) so men had enough time to think and plan how they can outsmart women .. and they took the gap because women did not have enough time to let there minds grow COOKING FOR 1000S !!!!!

Maybe they did.
In the past, many women patented their inventions under their husband's or father's names, because they were not allowed to do so in their own name. There is no evidence to prove one way or another, so why are you even making assumptions?
And what is the real point you are trying to make or are you just trying to put women down yet again? It's getting a little tiresome, you need to give it a rest.
Take care.

a) what makes you think "men" invented "medicinal arts?" which "men?" wouldn't you agree that it was more of a gradual learning process for humanity, not creditable to any one person, group, race, or sex?
b) remember how in shakespearean days, women weren't allowed on stage, so men played the female roles too? what makes you think that if a woman did "invent" medicine, men of that era would give them credit?
