the FBI is big and all but i dont think so big that they have a file on everone in the states.
You can write them and request to see your file if one is there.
they should advise you as to what forms are needed to get this information from them. There are laws that are set up so that a person can see what information the goverment has regarding them .

If you worked for the government in any capacity that required a background check.
If you were in the military.
If you have a federal conviction.
If you are a suspected bomb thrower.
And yes Adam because of your interest in the Australian-American war we have one on you too. That puts you in the suspected bomb thrower group because we don`t like people talking about that war. Don`t bring it up again. :)

what you should really be asking is " have I done anything wrong? at least bad enough that the fbi would be looking at me"
