just go to ur local party store and buy everything in blue or pink that has to do with the babys gender. that is simple enough for the busy mother to be. you will probably be able to find some really cute stuff.

oh and congrats

I think meet the baby parties are a wonderful idea. I'm planning on having one for the baby I have on the way. It's my second child so I'm not planning on having a baby shower since I have everything I need from my first child's baby shower. I still want to have a party of sorts for this child, so why not a meet the baby? A month after birth is good. Just be sure you have help at home because you'll be really tired those first weeks after the baby comes home and your home will be sloppy like nothing else. Unless you're supermom, it'll be tough to have everything presentable. Since you're not expecting presents, maybe you can make the event a pot luck? Those are always fun, and it'll help take that burden off you. People should understand; many have been there and know it's hard enough just cooking for yourself much less a party when you've got an infant in the house!

Go by the florist and have them make you a simple baby bouquet or go by the bakery and have them make you a small tray of baby booties cakes!@~

oh that is a cool idea--
I think just plain pink or blue and white streamers & balloons would do the trick simply.
