the story goes...an Apprentice applicant who was rejected in 2005 is suing Donald Trump and his Apprentice show. the reason...he was rejected because of age discrimination. he was 49.
In my opinion, doesn't he realize that the show aims to hire an apprentice for Mr Trump? An apprentice is someone who can work for Trump for a long time and he/she must be very energetic(not that I'm saying old people aren't!). Besides, an apprentice in general, must be younger than his/her boss. Note:Trump is 44.
So, what do you guys think?

Actually, the guy is suing because of hair discrimination--Donald Trump turned him loose because he doesn't have to do the comb-over like he does.

I think I really could careless- but your theory does not hold up.
I know people who have lost jobs that they have been doing for the past 30 years, and now find themselves in a position to start over. IN many cases they have to find a whole new line of work, which generally means, starting at the bottom as an apprentice and working their way up. Not everyone retires at 65 many people work until they physically can't anymore, so some one who is in his 40's could have 20 or 30 good years left in him. Most people don't stay on jobs that long anymore, anyway.

Trump is 44?! lol wow...
An apprentice is someone who is either employed by or legally bound through indenture to a master craftsman with the express purpose of learning a trade. Age doesn't factor into it; it's only a novice learning from a pro.
With regard to the Trumpster, the failed applicant is going to have a hard time proving age discrimination (unless the contract expressly says they're looking only for a particular age...which they can't do.) And umm...speaking for the "older" set, 49 is barely considered middle-aged these days! We're healthier and hardier than in centuries past, so our life expectancy, energy and stamina is greatly increased. People regularly work until they're 65, and often longer than that, depending on their financial status and goals in life. If a 49 year old were hired today, he'd have a good 16 years left in him. I doubt many people would stay that long at one company. I find the age-discrimination claim a grasping at straws by someone with sour grapes.
P.S. I just looked up the Donald's birthdate. Dude...where'd you get your info?! lol His birthdate is June 14, 1946. That means he'll be turning 61 this year! I THOUGHT he looked quite a bit older than 44!! lol

Well that's Trump the Chumps loss . I would rather have someone out there with a little age on them than these , young , snotty , arrogant , 20 something .JA's that don't want to get their hands dirty and tell the people that may hire them when they can work . Trump is a bigot , loud mouth , adulterer who ha s been in the spot light a little too long . He is obnoxious , ugly , fat , and I hope he loses EVERYTHING

donald trump has a kid who is close to 30 so theres no way he's 44...if anything he is closer to 60...so that theory about the apprentice being younger then the boss would fit

Suing?! LOL! He'll lose big time. He doesn't have the mega bucks "The Donald" has.
Thanks for the laugh and the two points. Plus, it's just a television show. Chill.

Well, the rejected guy is wasting his money. Donald & Mike Burnett (co-producer) can handle him. And, fyi - Trump is at least 60.

Honestly I really don't care. It's not like he's ever going to hire you or me so why should we get all steamed up about it. It's just a TV show.
