I've been taking the shot for four years and have been sick as long. Only recently was told that the Depo was probably the cause. I'm going off of it but I was wondering what the change in hormones might be doing. I feel like I'm getting worse(almost imposible)

I have been on depo for 2 yrs now, but went off for about 6 months earlier when the scare about osteoporosis came out. There were really no effects to speak of, aside from that it took me about 6 months to start to get my period back, and even then it was very very light. I went back on the shots and my cycle ceased again right away.

Keep in mind though, that even though it may take a long time to get your period back, it doesn't necessarily mean you can not get pregnant, so if you do not plan on having a baby, then use another form of birth control.

I got off of depo after four years of hell. I went to a birth control pill to help my system get back to normal. All I really felt was relief that I was off the shot! :)

You usually don't feel anything. But it might take you a while to get back to normal with your monthly cycle.
