I saw a segment on Oprah a few months ago regarding this topic. Pink explained that the concept of the video is about young women "dumbing themselves down" in order to fit in. In other words, she says that she is sick of seeing young women do mindless things with no regard for self-respect just to be socially acceptable to their peers. Pink just wants people to know that young women can have dreams that they can achieve, and that you can be beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

She's telling it like it is...look around even here and you will find example after example of "stupid girls".
The video is great. Pink is not a hypocrite. This answer comes from a mature chick who shakes her head daily at the number of stupid girls doing stupid things stupidly!

Pink Rocks she's original. There are a lot of the kind of "stupid" girls her song is about; out in the world. Did you LISTEN to the lyrics? The song is about a type not a gender.

i think is does a good job highlighting the things teens fall for now-a-days. It has a wide range of how they dress, look, and do just to fit in. Although pink does contradict herself because she does the same thing such as dressing provocative and moving in provocative ways in some of her videos. its almost like shes jealous of all the other stars but at the same time makes sense.

I agree with the views that Pink was trying to get out to the youth of today because I think kids today are too materialistic and aren't focusing on their future. Children today are having problems living in the 'now' but when it's time for them to go to college they slack off and still live with their parents.

X_X no longer that song!!!! OMG. no longer that song. besides, no ladies are not stupid. it truly is basically how they make themselves be considered. in case you act stupid - it doesn't be counted how sensible you're, all of us will take you for a bimbo. Society's continuously performed it for women folk to be considered as no longer the sharpest device contained in the toolbox, in spite of the undeniable fact that it extremely doesn't be counted what society thinks. as long as you supply your self the recognize you want and comprehend that you're above their factor, it does no longer be counted how a lot they say you're stupid. basically chin up and teach them incorrect.

I like it because it was a good tune, good lyrics and a good video. It is something to blast when you feel not so great about things.

It was a good point she was making, but I think she's pushing the whole "anti-Britney" thing a bit much. She's so busy saying who she's NOT that I have no idea who she IS.

I like it....it has variety, but it is sadly partially true...I am kind of like those girls....but not as much as certain people I know. It is steryotypical, but I'm starting to think that steryotypes are true.
