my baby is four months and three days old. She has been propping the pacifier into her own mouth for a few weeks now...but that is just nudging it into her mouth with her arm when it falls out. She is recently getting more coordinated at pulling it out with her index finger and thumb when she doesnt want it..but she is no where near that adept at putting it in. If it falls out of her mouth she will nudge it back in with her arms and she is four months. She is also holding her own bottles now...not very well but its a start.

i'm surprised in any respect the individuals who experience that her infant is merely too youthful to do this. even nevertheless it isnt at night while it happens, my son can grab his pacifier and positioned it in his mouth, and additionally reaches for and grabs his bottle and places it in his mouth too and he's 4 a million/2 months! besides, all toddlers enhance on their very own time table, so which you cant particularly gauge while a baby is "meant" to be doing something. i've got been given my son began together with his pacifier by potential of putting it in his hand jointly as he replaced into enjoying, or giving it back to him while he pulled it out his mouth. additionally, while he's having his tummy time i consistently positioned a bottle, a toy, and his pacifier purely slightly out of his attain. good success!

I wouldn't really know, we got our son off of his pacifier by 4 months... and all he would really do is use his hands to keep it in his mouth, but he didnt' actually grab it and put it back in. I think the earlier you get them off of it, the better... and I also liked how I could soothe my son by singing/rocking instead of having him rely on his pacifier.

Every baby is different. I know, I hate that answer too. My son is 3 months and is starting to "nubb" the paci back into his mouth. He cannot quite pick it up with fingers yet but he "nubs" it back in there..
