Refurbished computers are a great option if you're somewhat technically savvy, meaning that when it breaks you can fix it yourself. The quality of the hardware can sometimes be less than that of a brand-name model, but for a typical computing environment, you won't notice a difference. If you're looking to be a video editor, don't go refurb. If you're looking for something to surf the internet and do some homework, then there's no sense spending $2K on a machine when a $400 is just as good. You may also look into a site like slickdeals.net for great prices on equipment.

Refurbished is o.ok. if you're paying for the unit from a depended on organisation. examine the organisation's comments ratings and browse the comments, etc. the organisation must have a ninety 9% customer pride score. be sure the product comes with at a six month assure. For the quantity you're paying, also examine the specs adverse to a sparkling laptop at Circuity city, suitable purchase, etc. the final analysis is that you pick to purchase from a respected organisation, purchase a product with a guaranty, and performance get entry to to someone that could want to service it even as some thing is going incorrect. of direction, a respected, community small company that sells refurbished pcs might want to be more effective useful.

Ebay? No. Refurbished is just fine. Many times a refurbished computer has never been used. Go to http://www.tigerdirect.com for really legitimate low prices on computers and peripherals. No telling what you get from Ebay.

$409 for a refurbished computer? Please excuse me while I roll all over the floor in laughter. For that kind of money you can get one from Walmart, Best Buy etc and get a warrantee. You would have to be a fool to buy a refurbished computer off of ebay , expecially for $409.00

I would go refurb from the manufacturer's website or tigerdirect.com. both good. many come with the same warranties as the new ones. ebay is most likely a no go. i bought a pc from there that wouldnt turn on but with some work, it is up and running. but that took time, if you want to spend it, it is up to you. if you have no clue about computers insides go refurb or new.

DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
u can go to dell or hp and get a refurbished computer and sometimes it is better than to buy a new computer and they are way cheaper.
