I work at Space Center Houston and I am working with a group of young korean children and would like to know if anyone has any ideas about a simple token of friendship i could get these children. They are great and just want to thank them.

When I was in Korea we had some Orphans come by for a visit, and we asked the same question. The KATUSAs (Korean soldiers in US units) all said the same thing, there aren't any special Korean gifts or anything they would care for. Like the above guy said, western type stuff is fine. Commemorative coins, pictures, little toys, candy, whatever.

I asked the same question to my young Korean neice and nephews and they wanted electronic games and they were only 4 and 8! Anyways I would defiantely suggest something "WESTERN AMERICAN" culture. They think it's totally cool to have something from America that you can't find in Korea.

that's a nice gesture! anything candy is great... koreans love american candy! haha.. but if u want something w/ more of a lasting impression, perhaps a bracelet? or keychain? postcards, silver dollars, etc?

and since u work at the space station, something astronaut-y would be cute!

good luck :)
