what is a good age for young girls to start thinking about sex with her boyfriend? girls in my school talk about their experiences all the time! i'm 13 turning 14 in march...what do you think...wait a few more years?

There are so many risk to having sex.
STD
PREGNANCY
HIV/AIDS
EMOTION AND PHYSICAL CHANGES AND PROBLEMS
and so much more
You don't have to have sex b/c the other kids are. Respect yourself and wait till love, wait till your out of high school over the age of 18 and ready. You may think you are but your not. And the boyfriend you have now wont be later in life. Years from now you will think back and ask your self why you did it at the age and who you did it with. I am 26 years old been there, give it some time. I waited till after high school. Its worth the wait.

Don't loose it to someone who doesn't mean the world to you. I lost my virginity at the age of 14 and now that I'm 19 I wished that I would have waited. I lost it to a guy who made me think that I was in love with him. At 14 I didn't know what love was. I am now with a girl who is the love of my life and I wish that I would have saved the very special gift of my first time for her. I can never get that back and that ain't fair to her. She deserved it and I gave it away too soon thinking that I would never find anyone that I loved more (than I thought I loved that guy) but I did and I regret it so much now that I have.

Of course wait a few more years! Don't listen to those other girls. They could be lying, just to be popular. They don't really know about sex, only that they have heard a lot about it but they actually haven't even tried it.
You should totally wait until you are married or engaged. That is the most reasonable time in your life to start having sex.

You need to be ready and want to do it. Just because they are doing it doesn't mean you need to. Infact, most are probably liing about it just to look cool anyways. There is no rush; find your perfect match and you will know when the time is right.
P.S. There is no certain age you should wait, those other answers don't tell you that waiting 2 or 3 more years will make you ready. It doesn't have anything to do with age, people are different at different ages.

Honestly, you may not like my answer, but please read it...You don't have to take my advise...But, wait. Wait until you are married. As a woman, think how much more exciting the wedding night will be... To have waited...to give that special gift to a guy/man who was willing to wait for you. I wish I could go back in time & take my own advice...My wedding night was pretty boring...because it wasn't special or a big deal anymore! Plus if you wait you don't need to worry about unwanted pregnancy, STD's or geeting your heart broken because you had sex with someone who didn't really care about you feelings, (he just cared about sex and told you what you wanted to hear, not what he meant) Most guys though physically capable are not mature enough to handle sex at your age anyway, or good at it either. Wait 'till you get married & get good at it together. Trust me. Good Luck!

yes! yes! wait a least a few years. People should be making love not having SEX. I guess I'm old school. This freaks me out I'm 30 not that old but it's a very hard thing to live with if you're not ready and u do it and then u'll have regrets later. Y didn't I wait. etc.

Wait a few more years. Those girls are probably just BS'ing you with what they are doing.
See in Jr Highschool and Highschool. Everyone is in a pissing contest. The more you piss and the further you piss the cooler you are.
When all you will end up is being pregnant, ruining your and your parents life for them having to take care of your kid while you try to finish school. And ruining your kids life because they prolly wont respect you the way you think they should because your only 14 years older then they are.
Anyways don't worry about sex. If you want just masterbate. Its the next best thing and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Trust me you parents would rather you masterbate than to be pregnant or have a sexually transmitted disease.
Plus you don't want to be labeled a slut now do you?

I think a few more years is appropriate. 13 is too young... I was 17 when I lost my virginity and it was to a serious boyfriend. You will hear from some people to wait until you are married... realistically... not going to happen!

I lost my virginity at 17 and i was the first out of my group of friends... I'm only 26 now so it wasn't THAT long ago either. If I could go back I'd have waited even longer. I had no business having sex with someone before I was ready to deal with all the emotional bull**** that goes with it.

wait until you are ready to be a mom. you need to be responsible for any decision you make. right now, you are too young to even have a boyfriend, let alone have sex. understand all about birth control and STDs before you do. thank you for asking before you do anything you regret. at least someone out there is responsible.
