MapleStory.com. It's a 2-D side scrolling MMORPG. It sounds bad, but the graphics are pretty good. Compared to Runescape being 1, I would rate MapleStory 10+.

A good software game... Diablo II Lord of Destruction. It's a fantastic RPG, you pick a class, level up, go through quests in 5 acts, but you have to get Diablo II first, you can get the battle chest for $25.00, it includes, Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo II Lord Of Destruction, Diablo II Strategy Guide... For some real fun play it on battle.net it is free of charge.

Unfortunately, fun online roleplaying games are non-existant. Or at the very least, expensive. However, for much simpler gameplay that requires no hours of training and such and is multiplayer, you should perhaps try Stick Arena. Rather addictive, in my opinion.

i would go with world of warcraft or everquest or guild wars they are some pretty good looking mmo's (im a warcrack fan personally) and if you are REALLY into the Roll Playing aspect of mmo's...then World of Warcraft has a couple of servers Dedicated to SERIOUS Roll Players were you will be punished if you talk out of character or anything like that (its a LITTLE!!! tooooooooooooooooooo OUT THERE for me to EVER want to play a roll play server unless i wanted a good laugh)

but I definitely say its worth it
its an amazing game
