Well I have both and that can depend. A dog is going to be much more loving, especially if you get a girl dog. They can be harder to train and feel lik much more responsibility but it can be worth it in the end if you feel you are really ready to take on the task.
A cat won't be as cuddly all the time and she may scratch your stuff up a bit, but a cat is easier to care for and can still be nice to have around when they come for their pet and purrrr :) And you don't have to leave a cat in a cage at all which can be nice so you don't feel guilty about them not having enough time to run and play like you would with dogs. Hope that helps. I am own a cat and 2 dogs. If you do get a dog consider a Boston Terrier. They are wonderful small dogs that are very intelligent and not a lot of barking with them either.

Well it depends who is the owner, what kind of things are you looking for in a pet? Cats are wonderful but stinky. Dogs are fantastic but they require a lot of time - any pet requires a lot of time and patience.

Depends on your lifestyle and how much you can put towards your pet.. Cats are obviously a little more self-sufficient simple because they do not need to go outside or need to play..

Dogs. They require more work: walks, traning, you need to be home for it. but i think dogs give you more love then cats do, and they are more fun.
