fears like that are irrational. stop wasting your life away fearing something that will never hurt you.

If you would like to see a professional about this, you would need to see someone who specializes in treating phobias and anxiety disorders. You will need someone who practices the technique of desensitization.

If you would like to do this on your own, go to the airport as previously suggested and stand outside where there is lots of planes flying over head. If you get scared, breathe in and out slowly while counting up to ten and then down from ten.

You should make a couple of trips to the airport and do this until it doesn't phase you when you hear a plane overhead. Also, tell yourself that the plane overhead is not going to come crashing down on top of you and also tell yourself that bombs won't fall from it either. Imagine the people on the plane: There are women and babies and men... they are all going to Hawii for a party. Some have swimsuits on. They are having a good time. This is not the kind of plane that will crash or throw anything down at you. It won't hurt you.

A pretty accepted way of getting over a fear is by facing it head on. Go to an airport or somewhere that lots of planes are flying overhead and stay there for a while. After a while you should build a tolerance to it. If that doesn't work, you could always talk to a psychiatrist about it.

Try to think of flying planes as little house flies. Imagine the plane being the size of a small buzzing bug.

Lets see..if more people die from donkeys than "in" airplane crashes each year...try to think in reverse."I shouldn't be afraid of that noisy plane at least I didn't hear a donkey........."
