I really enjoyed watching Dream Girls- from the comedic flair of Eddie Murphy to the soultry voice of one of the dream girls. I think that this was a ONE-IN-A-MILLION movie. Eddie Murphy blew me away with his funny, hip-swanging movements on stage. I think he should get something that continuously applaudes him and shows his great acting talent, like maybe an Academy Award. The American Idol dream girl was very serious, sassy and sad especially when singing-" YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE ME..." She deserves an Academy Award, Grammy, Oscar and more because her acting was excellent!!! Since this movie shows everything that defines a fantastic American movie, I'm wondering if there will be a Dream Girls 2?

Where would they go with the story line??? Barry Gordie (or Clyde) ran a great company with more great acts. The girls all went separate ways Diana (Dina) went on to a great film career and married some Norwegian guys and had kids. Mary Wilson (Effie) had a few hits but...I really did enjoy the movie. Its nice to see the musical coming back to the movie theater.

More than likely, no. This movie is a one of a kind, not to be duplicated or imitated (even though it was originally a play). When you have a cast that was able to master their performances with stellar star status it's best to just leave it at that. I loved every minute of the movie and really don't see a need for a sequel.

I loved it as well but I think it should be left as is. It was all ready nominated for 5 golden globe awards:
Best actress-Beyonce
Best supporting actress-Jenifer Hudson (I thought Beyonce should have been the supporting actress)
Best supporting actor-Eddie Murphy
Best song
Best film of the year musical or comedy

u r so right this movie was almost as good as ray i saw it three times this week this movie should get somthing the girl jenny hudson was as good as it gets when u never acted be fore she shinned good luck to her hope to c her soon in something else dream girls i say yep
