Since the inception of sexual equality I don't think that there are separate roles determined by sex in Britain today. And I would think that many people would be insulted by the view "that the roles of males and females in modern Britain are the result of biological determinism?" Whatever that might be other than claptrap

I think there's a strong tendency to shove people into neat little ticked boxes based on what makes them different as groups rather than as individuals... it over-simplifies society, the 'safety in numbers' thing. I don't buy any of it, it's just a way of people categorizing and labeling others, when they don't understand.

So to answer your original question: not to a great extent.

It would be the same as the rest of the world but this sounds like a sociology essay question so perhaps a tutor may be the appropriate person to discuss your work at this stage.

i think some people believe that by accepting that they are products of nature, as much as plants or animals, they are removing the notions of equality and free will. the thing is, although we do have equality and free will to a certain extent we still have to conform to laws of biology. we are not vastly superior beings just because we are creative or have opposable thumbs.
