Don't panic.

I have the same computer and have done the exact same thing in the past. You do not need to do anything as drastic as a System Restore or anything like that.

The icons are part of a program called Power2Go, which is a media facility for burning and ripping CDs/DVDs. Hopefully you have just deactivated the icons, which is a shortcut called Power2Go Express.

To get them back:

Click on "Start" then "All Programs" then look for "Cyberlink Power2Go". It should be near the top of your program list. Click on this (or hover your mouse over the arrow next to it) and another menu will appear.

Click on "Power2Go Express" and the program will open and restore the icons to your desktop.

If you cannot find "Cyberlink Power2Go" in your program list then I fear you may have inadvertently removed the program from your system, in which I am sorry but a System Restore may be needed after all.

Email me if you need any help.

How the heck did you manage to delete icons from the system tray? That is not suppose to be able to be done. In fact, in order to manage these little guys you have to go into the system tray properties and then select to have them show all the time, show only when active, or never show.

The only thing I can possibly think which may get you these icons back is to do a System Restore.

Go to Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools, then click on System Restore. Once in System Restore, select a date prior to the deletion of the icons, then follow the onscreen instructions it is pretty easy. When you are finsihed reboot your system and look for the little guys, see if they are back. If not then I am out of options for you, sorry.

Now, please be aware that when you do a System Restore, all software and any configurations you have done after the Restore date will be wiped out, gone off of your system. So, you may want to write down any configurations, and any software programs you installed so you can redo them when you are finished. It is a bit of a hassle, but worth it if you get them back.

Good luck and have a great evening!

Have they gone to the trash bin,
goto the trash bin right click and goto restore items or it says something like that

or it will say open contents, open them then click on each individual item and restore them

check your recycle bin, if they're there: right click and "restore".

if they're not in the recycle bin, right click on your bottom toolbar near the time and then select toolbar. you can add them back once you find them in your programs.
