I have 2 step kids living with my husband and I now, and the third one wants to move in. We agree with my husband not to ask for child support when the 2 kids moved, because we really didn't need the money. But now with a 3rd kid, and a child of my own I think she should pay childsupport. When the kids used to live with her, my husband paid her almost $1,000 a month!! And she was very nasty with us if we didn't pay her the exact day it was agreed. Now when is the other way around she doesn't want to pay a penny! Plus she doesn't even buy them cloths or pays for their books, insurance or meds!! I know for a fact that she makes good money. The kids are great kids and I hate to put them through all this, but I don't think is fair!

Yes, she should have to pay child support. Like you said, she would make him do it. Child support isn't a punishment for the parents. It's a way to help out the kids. So many parents when they want to get nasty with the ex they use it as a weapon. (I have been where you are sweetie so I can totally relate....not fun, I know!)

Make her pay. It's only fair to you, your husband and most of all the kids! Good luck!

It's time for her to pay childsupport. The situation is all switched now. If you don't do something with an attorney and the court she could still say she hasn't received any childsupport from the spouse and you'd be screwed even with the kids living with you now. Yes, she should pay child support to you. that's what i did with my ex when i took the kids.

first you guys need to let the court know of the changes so she can and will pay for child support it's only fair, even if the court makes her pay 1,000, and you guys can make agreements with her and only take 1/2 if you don't want to take the full amount.good luck and get what you deserve.

Depends on the laws where you live and the ages of the kids.

Probably not worth the effort tho. You get all of the love and the kids. That is what is important.

It doesn't matter how much money she makes or he makes, he is entitled to recieve child support if he is the custodial parent, esp since she isnt helping out with any of the other expenses

I think it's only right that she pays. they are her kids also, but if you don't need the money, then split it up between the kids for a savings account. but its' only right that she pays not get off scott free.

yeah she should pay support, but if it comes down to it she may fight to get the kids back. and that opens up a whole new set of problems.
