Although I do agree with you that it is just reverse racism/sexism, I really feel that the best candidates are those of the minority. Also, by having a minority in a higher power we get a whole new perspective on the lives of the people. If you have a 'white' man in power, I dont care how non racist he is, he will always favor the white majority. If you have a minority in power, then they will both care for the minority they come from, but also the majority, because they know that the majority is the one who PUT them in that position.

There is a reason all 43 of our Presidents have been middle-age or old white males, instead of the white woman or black man Presidents on t.v. (Commander in Chief and 24, respectively).
Of course all the liberals will disagree with me here, but it's for the same reason that marriage had only been between 1 man and 1 woman for the entire history of humanity until the social experiment of homosexuality was created and has gone terribly wrong, destroying the value and need for both natural procreation and natural families (i.e. with a mother and a father).
I bring up homosexuality because the same kind of social experiment could destroy the Presidency like it is slowly eroding the value of the family in our country.
Choosing a minority or woman President just for the sake of change would not change what the liberals want it to change, because the President isn't elected to office to work just for special groups of people, but for America as a whole, and not to make executive decisions with any type of bias or preference toward any one group of people.
Change caused for its own sake isn't really change but rather chaos.

Well, all we've ever had is White male presidents, and this country seems to being doing just fine. Our stance amonst the powers of the world is at the top. What more can you ask for? I'm not saying I wouldn't vote for a minority or a woman, but I would have to see where they stand on situations this country faces. then i would vote based on what makes the best sense to me.

I disagee with this. Your question implies, 'ever', which is completely wrong.
I don't care if a President is a woman with purple skin, so long as she's qualified. But I'm not going to vote for someone just because it'll set new ground. I'll vote for the best candidate, regardless of race or gender.

Hi,
No, I do not agree, as when we start picking our presidents based on the color of their skin, our country is way beyond hope.
I agree bush is a poor excuse for a president, but who saw the real bush coming before he was put in power.
I re-read your question several times and found no mention of electing based on qualifications to do the best job.
When we elect on skin color or sex, no matter the fancy play on words and maneuvering up, down, right and left, and under, we would still become a country of racists/sexists, and I want no part of that, thank you.

I'd just settle for someone who left me alone and didn't sign yet more idiotic laws. I care little for race, sex, sexual orientation or religion. Do you really think any of the stated or possible candidates talked about in the press will do that? NO!!! They all find a way to cramp your freedoms and throw a monkey wrench into your life. I'd vote for the Emperor of Mars if I thought he would just simply not make things worse!!

No one but a bigot would cast their vote for President based upon gender or race.
The odds are heavily in favor of the winner in 08 being a white male.

I would never vote for somebody just because of gender or race. The person I vote for has to have the same values I have... and that is the ONLY criterion I will ever use to decide on which presidential candidate to support.***

No, I will not vote based on gender or ethnicity. Never have and never will. I vote on the issues that concern me and the candidate I think best has the answers to those issues, plain and simple.

Does anyone actually pay attention like...omg that canidate is white and he is a dude so i'm gonna vote for him/not vote for him. If they do...they seriously need to be cheacked in at the nearest insane asylum. I do think that we should have a woman president sometime, but i'm not gonna vote for Hillary Clinton even though i'm a republican just so we can have a girl president.
