I need a foundation that hides shine all day (I am getting married in the fall and I don't want to be shiny in pictures). I need a powder too. Everything I try looks great in the morning, but by the afternoon, I am blotting and re-powdering. I just don't want to have to do that during my wedding. Please help!!!

i am a makeup artist and stylist and we carry bare minerals at the day spa i work at. i have very oily skin myself and have found this foundation to be great for me. i still touch up with mineral veil, a very sheer powder, about 3 to 4 times a day, but that is nothing to what i used to do. blotting papers, more foundation, it was a mess. we are in texas, and i do weddings and have seen the bare minerals makeup stand up to Texas heat and sweat in August, all day! Try it. u will love it.

Bobbi Brown oil free foundation, its liquid but gives medium satin look. Clinique stay true is also really good, and its oil free as well. If you want a shimmery look try "Make up forever" which is very long lasting! If you'd rather have a loose powder I'd go for Dior light oil free, it doesn't last as long but it will keep that shine away.

Mary Kay has an oil matifier that you put on under your foundation. It works all day and I love it. I hope this helps. Also, their medium coverage foundation is wonderful. I don't even have to use powder with it and I'm very oily too.

Try Double Matte by Estee Lauder. Also, for your wedding day Double Wear by Estee Lauder will work great! It stays put all day and is wonderful for oily skin. Both sell for about $32 a bottle and one bottle will last for months!

www.clinique.com
I have semi-oily skin and clinique is by far one of the best bases I have ever used....
You can have a chat w/ a beauty consultant, or do a quiz that'll tell you your skin type and the foundation thats best for you.
I'd visit some makeup counters in department stores to find the makeup you like the best....
Good Luck!!
