I think it doesn't so much have to do with age as with the reason why you die. At one point your body gets so old that every major organ starts failing, and then you die of known illnesses (like cancer, or pneumonia) but because you have other things too they say you died of old age. Some people's cells/organs degenerate faster than others though so you can die of "old age" within quite a large bracket of ages.

I think that it normally says "died of natural causes" - not old age....so you could be 40, 50, 60, etc.
